Sky [Cloud wanted to leave of where Sky and Cloud left off, so I will'st edit my post ^_^] A chilly breeze cascaded violently over the rolling hills and howled onto the lake, sending hundreds of ripples to shatter the silence of the water. The girl at the side sat quietly, not moving as the wind tore its deadliest colors upon her. Her hair, full and blonde, danced gracefully around her heart shaped face and slapped her covered arms. Sitting quietly by the lake side, wrapped in jeans with worn holes in the knees and a cheap parka given to her from one of her relatives. Her legs were drawn to her chest, and she wrapped her arms around them, resting a chin on her left knee. Her deep set blue eyes looked blank as she started thoughtlessly at the water – though she saw everything but the water; her minds eyes taking over. The images inside her head were flash backs of a moment out of many that she detested, yet the thoughts taunted her like a hawk over a dyeing fish. She showed the first sighs of aliveness, moving her head to the side to stare openly at the wide array of woods, all sorta of fall colors, yet shedding its unneeded leaves for the upcoming snow and winter. A shiver by-passed her small frame, and Sky sighed. She had moved away from everything she had known to here, a place where she left no more closer to becoming a normal person again. Her mind ran with thoughts that confused her all the more, and she slowly looked at her booted foot – old army boots that had belonged to her brother – and stared at the source of a rustling noise. A brown cricket say on a blade of grass beside her boot, and her midn yet agian took off into the night air with flitters of thoughts.
Sky's mind wondered to a thought of a single person; Cloud. the very sound of his name within her head made a smile break out across her lips, and her eyes haze over with a kind and gentle look. She let herself think back to whn they met, what they've been through together, and simple things that made her cheeks turn red. The d**ned boy was her weak spot, what could she say. He had saved her from herself when she had no one left - he had always been there to comfort her with his gentle quietness. It was he whom she had to admit she had fallen head over heels for. She smiled sheepishly at the water now, her blue eyes sparkling with one boy on her mind.

C l o u d The trees and long grasses had seemed to turn from that, lush, green scenery to a bare, dead, and decayed one. All the leaves that fell from the trees were strewn all over the ground in piles, or just scattered along the forest floor. Quick, short, air-streams now bit at the uncovered things. Cloud skid his bike to a halt between to trees. he got off and started toward the lake. Once there, something caught his eye, which were now widened by what he saw. Sitting near the lake sat a long blond headed woman. Sky. Cloud started toward her, he wondered how much she had changed. Was her personality the same, or different, was she happy, or sad. He didn't know, he had left a year ago and came back but hadn't seen her until now. " Sky..." he uttered standing a few feet behind her. He felt bad leaving her like he did, and he didn't even know why he left. Cloud looked toward the ground, letting the wind toy with his blond spikes like it always seemed to do. I wonder if she hates me by now his thoughts made him a bit upset. He hoped Sky didn't hate him. He sat down waiting for a reply, or lecture from Sky.

A fear began to claw at her stomach, causing her to tar her eyes away from the lake to stare at her lap. She sighed heavily, her blond hair being tussled about wildly in the winds that cascaded across the lake. She pulled a strand of hair behind her ear, quickly running a finger under her eye – brushing away a tear that had snuck up on her. She looked up, eyes bright with life, yet dull with sadness. She had been alone for what felt like years – but in reality no more then a true year. She had been taking refuge as she used to, wandering the streets and hiding away in the old home that she and Cloud had made theirs oh-so long ago. A smile spread on her lips with the thought of him. He had left her for some reason. Sky had always known that his independence may take over one day, and he’d leave. But she never expected it to be so… sudden. One day he was here with her, next she was alone again. Swimming in frets and regrets.
Another sigh echoed out of her mouth as she shuffled to stand up, briskly wiping grass off her pants. She stalled, staring at the lake for a quick second, preparing to leave. ”Sky…” Her heart froze, and so did her body. Blue eyes seemed to peel wide open as her breathing became faltered. Was that… yes, it had to be. Stiff, she slowly turned her head, afraid to see if it was only her imagination that playing sick games with her. Lo and behold, it wasn’t. Still staring over her shoulder, she watched Cloud – the real Cloud… here, in flesh – sit down, staring at her with what she thought was a type of sadness. With a sudden jolt of reality, Sky’s heart jack hammered in her chest and she quickly turned on her heel, staring at him. Straight in the eye. She didn’t know whether to run and hug him senseless, or yell at him for leaving her. A huge sigh of relief left her – her shoulders sagging happily, a pure smile sweeping over her lips. She took a step toward Cloud, and stopped. “Welcome home… Cloud.”

C l o u d Cloud got up as Sky said 'welcome home'. Cloud walked over to the blond headed woman, and hugged her. " I'm sorry I left you Sky..." He spoke in a low tone only for her to hear. Why did he leave? why? he wished he could come up with an answer but he couldn't, because not even himself did not know why he left. At least he was back, and Cloud would never leave Sky again, never. He hurt her, leaving like he did. Cloud did not like to see her hurt, but she had been, by him, and that was the worse thing about it. Cloud's hug tightened just slightly. It helped him feel a little better that she said 'welcome home' but he wasn't entirely happy right now. He wondered what Sky had been doing for the past year. Did her past consume her feelings again? Was her personality different? Well it seemed her personality had changed a slight bit, but how the hell could he know? he was the bastard that left her for a year. It probably made her think the whole time that he was gone, that he had left her. Cloud was back right? but, maybe Sky didn't trust him that well anymore. A sigh escaped him, as his gaze was drawn to the side, feeling guilty for not being there for her. " I won't leave you again. I promise." He said again in a low tone. He hoped sky would trust him again, he did not look forward to her walking around looking like she was depressed. A nightmare to Cloud, a nightmare of her walking around, just waiting for him to disappear. No. Cloud did not want that.
